How we engage

An embedded consulting and delivery team.

A Wayfinder principal leads the engagement; a delivery partner runs the work day-to-day. We map current state, define target state, and stay on through build, rollout, training, and support.

How an engagement runs

From the inside, not the deck.

We start by getting inside the business — interviewing the people who actually do the work, documenting the processes nobody has written down, and where time and money leak out. That becomes a shared picture of current state the owner can recognize as true.

From there we define the target state and the route to it: what changes, in what order, what each step is worth. We prototype before we commit, so decisions are made against something real rather than a slide.

Then we build — and we stay. Platform selection, configuration, data migration, training, and the unglamorous support through the first weeks when a new way of working either sticks or slips. We hand over a team that can run it without us, not a dependency on us.

The five stages

The engagement lifecycle.

01 · Weeks 1–3

Discover

Interviews with the people doing the work. Process mapping. Identifying where time, money, and risk actually leak.

02 · Weeks 3–6

Define

Target state and the sequenced route to it. What changes, in what order, and what each step is worth.

03 · Months 2–6

Build

Prototype before we commit. Platform selection, configuration, data migration, integration.

04 · Months 4–9

Roll out

Training, change management, and unglamorous support through the weeks when new ways of working either stick or slip.

05 · Ongoing

Support

We hand over a team that can run it without us — not a dependency on us.

Two principals, one bench

The right person for each phase.

Engagements are led by a Wayfinder principal and delivered through a curated bench of senior specialists — legal operations, accounting, compliance, software implementation, AI, recruitment. You get the right person for each phase rather than a fixed team carried whether the work needs them or not.

Engagement length is typically three to twelve months. The first thirty days are always the same: interviews, process mapping, and a shared picture of current state your team can recognize as true.
